Welcome to our first dev log for "The Faithfulness of the Universe", where I, BibiXP, will talk about how far along we are in the creation of this visual novel! :D

This dev log will be the first of a different type of dev log however! Originally Itch.io was the only place I placed dev logs and, now that I place longer dev logs elsewhere for supporters, dev logs here on Itch will be different! Now they'll be more concise, shorter, and focus more on the progress in numbers so you all get a clear picture of how long we have to the end!

The other, longer, dev logs, which are posted on our Ko-fi and Patreon, are more about me talking about the game and explaining key points and background behind decisions, so if that interests you check out those dev logs there!

Now onto the Itch dev log!

Programming: 40%! Programming for parts of the game to run is already mostly done, now it is just the writing and placing in future chapter art, which hopefully will go well!

Art:

BGs: About 60%! We have a few more backgrounds to still get a hold of but, since I made sure to get most of our BGs ready before the demo released, we already have most! Just need a few that will only appear in the later chapters.

CGs: About 25%!: There will not be a huge amount of CGs, so this part is already well on its way to finishing, especially as some CGs almost intermingle with the sprites and backgrounds, due to combining the two sets of art to create the CGs in the first place!

Sprites: About 70-80% done! Sprites was one of the things that I finished, so most is done on this end! We just need a few more incidental sprites and we'll be done!

Writing: About 25% done! "The Faithfulness of the Universe" is planned to be written as if there are 4 chapters, and as the demo is basically chapter 1, we already have 25% done! These chapters after chapter 1 will likely be longer, especially due to the different routes involving the love interests, but, when combined with the parts that will still repeat, they still allow me to say we are 25% done!

I will tell one thing though for our future however! We have another project incoming later, and here's a hint... it involves mechas! Very different from this project that we'll introduce later!

Next dev log we'll mention more things, like the music!
